Astrology for Self-Care and Understanding (Zoom)

This was live Thursday, July 30th 2020 at 8pm (Singapore time)! NRSC (Nuren Secret Club) is a FaceBook group for Singapore women. I was on their Thursday night FaceBook Live for an interview/presentation and astrology reading featuring their hosts, Christine and Angela.

We went a bit long (what’s new, this is me, lol) but lots came up especially during the reading and with their awesome questions. This presentation shared some content with “Blame It on the Birthchart” but I concentrated a bit more on the needs that Astrology can serve, especially for affirming individuals and their relationships. Some screenshots:

Most of the new material (unrelated to the live readings) was in the area of healing and self-actualisation. Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs illustrates nicely how fulfillment is more than just about meeting our basic needs (though they are important). But the non-physical needs such as having connections and sense of belonging are just as essential and part of our psychological needs.

Having spent years studying and trying out various healing modalities, I’ve found that understanding my nervous system and stress burden needed to be part of my journey. Working with anxiety and understanding other people with high anxiety, PTSD or CPTSD, I’m starting to clue in that things like making the Law of Attraction work, or trying to “flip” someone out of survival mode, requires more work with the nervous system and building communities where the bottom of the needs pyramid is stable. (If you’re curious, that’s near the 30:00 minute mark.)
